Social Media Marketing and Trip Advisor

As part of my Graduate Contemporary Issues in Hospitality course, my partner and I conducted an evaluation of the qualitative reviews, specifically on TripAdvisor, and their marketing power and effect on hospitality firms and on the consumer. We explored the results of an industry whose participants now have total transparency into the consumer experience before they even set foot on property or book a room at all. We chose to focus on TripAdvisor because it is the largest social review site with approximately 62 million unique visitors each month.
